It’s with heavy hearts that we announce to you our difficult decision to cancel our anniversary event, Music in the Key of We: A Celebration of Community.
From a mere concept to a vision just on the horizon, Music in the Key of We has had overwhelming support. And we have all of you to thank for that. Your excitement, investment and energy are deeply appreciated.
Of course, the “show must go on” in regard to the other wonderful programming featuring our remarkable orchestra. Your support of Key of We ensures the continued health of the HSO and strengthens our ability to present world class performances for a wider audience in our community each year. While circumstances have prevented us from celebrating our organization’s milestones in the way we would have wished—together—we hope the driving forces behind our event will continue to resonate with you into the future.
This year has only solidified our original inspirations behind Music in the Key of We: the power of shared experiences, our natural need for community and connection, and the importance in finding one's own Ode to Joy.

“As wonderful as our orchestra is, we are only as strong as
the support we receive from our generous sponsors and patrons.”
